Parenting Workshops: What are they and how can they help?

Parenting Workshops and 1:1 Coaching both offer parents and caregivers an opportunity to build their skills - they just leverage different formats and cater to different styles of learning.

Indiidualized family coaching provides an opportunity for a holistic deep dive into the challenges that a family is facing. Coaching is flexible and adaptable, and sessions can focus on one issue or several depending on the family’s needs. During sessions, families practice and role play new skills, aimed at developing a plan that is customized to their needs.

Workshops on the other hand focus around a specific topic or area of concern. As a result, they provide more of an overview of concepts and skills. For some families, the group setting of a workshop offers the benefit of a shared space, the ability to hear from other people who are likely sharing similar struggles, and a cohort of peers to talk shop with as you implement what you’ve learned. Workshops can be a great choice for families looking for support with general parenting challenges or a group of friends with kids of similar ages.

Balanced Kids provides customized workshops based on the audience and needs of attendees.
